WieRok Records artist Sean Rodriguez has reached another major streaming milestone as his Christian rock hit “It Is Finished” (feat. Disciple) officially surpasses 4 million streams on Spotify.
The milestone comes just four months after the track crossed the 3 million mark on the platform, continuing an extended run that has made “It Is Finished” the biggest streaming success of Rodriguez’s career to date.
Released October 25, 2024, the collaboration with veteran Christian rock band Disciple has shown unusual staying power nearly two years after its debut. Across Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music and Pandora, the original version of “It Is Finished” has now generated more than 8.8 million streams.
When combined with the song’s “Radio Edit,” released as part of Rodriguez’s Jesus Will EP, the two versions have accumulated more than 9.4 million streams across the five platforms, placing the song within reach of another major benchmark.
A Song That Has Continued to Grow
Rather than experiencing the steep decline that often follows a song’s initial release cycle, “It Is Finished” has continued to find listeners through streaming, playlisting, radio and Rodriguez’s expanding live audience.
Spotify alone now accounts for 4.05 million streams of the original recording, while Pandora has generated more than 1.8 million, Apple Music more than 1.3 million, Amazon Music more than 937,000, and YouTube Music more than 680,000.
The “Radio Edit” has contributed an additional 632,000+ streams across those same platforms.
That sustained digital performance follows an exceptional run at Christian rock radio. “It Is Finished” spent more than eight consecutive months on the CMW Rock Chart during 2025, including 10 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1, establishing the collaboration as one of the year’s most consistent performers in the format.
The achievement is particularly notable within the larger arc of Rodriguez’s career. While “It Is Finished” found a natural home at Christian rock, the song remains his lone major release specifically targeting the format. Rodriguez’s primary radio and musical focus continues to be Christian AC.
The Jesus Will EP Surpasses 15 Million Streams
The continued success of “It Is Finished” has also helped propel Rodriguez’s Jesus Will EP to a significant streaming benchmark of its own.
Tracks from the project have now generated more than 15.4 million combined streams across Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music and Pandora.
The EP’s title track has become another important catalog performer. “Jesus Will,” together with its Spanish-language counterpart “Jesús Lo Hará,” has accumulated more than 3.18 million streams across the five platforms.
Together, the performance of “It Is Finished,” “Jesus Will” and the EP’s remaining tracks reflects a catalog that has continued to generate meaningful consumption well beyond its original release window.
Momentum Extends Into “Just Like God”
Rodriguez has carried that momentum into 2026 with current single “Just Like God,” a release that returns the artist squarely to the Christian AC format.
The song has already surpassed 650,000 streams across the Top 5 DSPs while building a growing national radio footprint. “Just Like God” is currently in rotation at 19 stations nationwide and has remained a consistent presence inside the Top 60 of the Mediabase Christian AC chart throughout the summer.
That progression represents an important next chapter for Rodriguez. Where “It Is Finished” demonstrated his ability to connect with the Christian rock audience, “Just Like God” is translating that expanded visibility back into the format at the center of his long-term artist direction.
The Next Chapter: The Just Like God EP
That momentum will lead directly into Rodriguez’s next project, the forthcoming Just Like God EP, which builds around the current single while introducing several songs that became familiar to audiences throughout the summer.
The EP will feature new songs “God Is On My Side” and “The Day He Made,” both created with the same production team behind “Just Like God,” including GRAMMY and Dove Award-winning producer Seth Mosley and mixer Michael “X” O’Connor. Also included is “Devil Can’t Have Me,” a heavier track that taps back into the rap-rock energy of “It Is Finished” and should feel immediately familiar to fans who connected with Rodriguez through the crossover hit.
That connection carries into the project’s artwork as well. The Just Like God EP cover expands on the visual identity established with the single, this time featuring Rodriguez alongside the now-familiar pink flamingo that became a memorable part of the summer show and an unexpected point of fan engagement throughout the tour.
Together, the music, live show and visual identity position the Just Like God EP as a natural handoff from Rodriguez’s breakout growth into the next phase of his career — carrying forward the audience built through “It Is Finished” while more clearly defining the sound and direction at the center of what comes next. From Streaming Growth to the Live Stage
The streaming and radio growth has coincided with Rodriguez’s most extensive touring season to date.
Throughout the summer, Rodriguez and his touring band, The Hilltop, have appeared in headline and featured slots across an extensive schedule that includes some of Christian music’s largest and most established festivals such as Kingdom Bound, Unity, Hills Alive, OneFest, and many more.
The live schedule has given Rodriguez an opportunity to put the rapidly growing streaming numbers in front of audiences in a more tangible way, connecting songs that listeners have discovered digitally and through radio with an expanding national touring presence.
Nearly two years after its release, “It Is Finished” continues to play an outsized role in that story.
What began as Rodriguez’s first significant move into Christian rock became a No. 1 radio record, a multi-million-stream collaboration and one of the key releases behind the dramatic expansion of his audience.
Now past 4 million Spotify streams and approaching 10 million across the five leading DSPs, “It Is Finished” has moved beyond the profile of a successful release cycle. It has become a foundational catalog song, and one whose impact continues to carry forward into Rodriguez’s next season of music.
