Jonathan Turner Releases Summer Jams Vol. 3 Live Worship Album

Jonathan Turner releases Summer Jams Vol. 3, continuing his live worship series recorded during LifeWay FUGE Camps and capturing another summer of worship, community and ministry.

Jonathan Turner is bringing another summer of worship beyond the camp walls with the release of Summer Jams Vol. 3, available now on all major streaming platforms.

The third installment in Turner’s ongoing Summer Jams series continues a tradition that began with a simple idea: preserve the worship moments happening throughout the summer and give students, leaders and listeners a way to return to them long after camp ends.

Recorded during Jonathan Turner’s summer ministry at LifeWay FUGE Camps, Summer Jams Vol. 3 captures worship in the setting where these songs were actually being lived — surrounded by students singing together, responding in the moment and making the songs their own.

Continuing the Story of Summer Jams
Last year’s Summer Jams Vol. 2 expanded the series with a double-disc collection featuring full-band performances, acoustic recordings and spontaneous worship moments. With Vol. 3, Turner carries that idea forward while continuing to document another season of worship as it happened.

Rather than approaching the series as a traditional studio project, Summer Jams has become an ongoing snapshot of Turner’s summers on the road: the songs being sung, the rooms they filled and the moments that stayed with people after the final night of camp.

That connection is what has given the series its identity. Each volume reflects a specific summer while also creating something listeners can carry into their own churches, homes, small groups and personal worship.

Worship Recorded in the Room
At the center of Summer Jams Vol. 3 is the communal nature of live worship.

The recordings preserve more than Jonathan Turner’s performances. They capture the voices in the room, the response of the crowd and the sense that the music belongs as much to the people singing along as it does to the person on stage.

For students who experienced these songs during FUGE Camps this summer, the album offers a way to revisit those moments. For listeners encountering the project for the first time, it provides a window into Turner’s ministry and the worship environments that have shaped the Summer Jams series from the beginning.

One of the standout moments on Summer Jams Vol. 3 is the inclusion of “Every Cross,” a song released earlier this year in collaboration with Chris McClarney. Featured twice on the double-disc project, the song appears in both a full-band live arrangement and an intimate acoustic performance, highlighting its depth and the different ways it resonates in a worship setting.

Jonathan Turner’s Summer Worship Tradition Grows
A worship leader, songwriter, recording artist and producer from South Louisiana, Jonathan Turner continues to build his music around a commitment to leading people toward Jesus through honest, congregational worship.

The Summer Jams releases have become a natural extension of that calling. Instead of allowing a summer of meaningful worship moments to disappear once the season ends, Turner continues to document them and make them available to a wider audience.

With three volumes now released, the series is becoming an annual record of where the songs have traveled, who has sung them and what God has done through them along the way.
