About Rachael Thomas
Rachael Thomas is a Nashville-based songwriter, worship leader, and recording artist whose music invites listeners to encounter God in the middle of everyday life. With influences that span indie, ambient, and lo-fi worship, her songs create space for honesty, reflection, and hope—meeting people where they are while pointing them toward the faithfulness of Christ.
Originally from Texas, Rachael has been writing songs since childhood, discovering early on a love for words, melody, and storytelling. That passion eventually led her into worship ministry, where years of serving local churches, mentoring students, and investing in creative communities shaped both her voice and her calling. Today, she continues to write from that same heart, believing some of the most meaningful songs are born not from having all the answers, but from faithfully bringing life’s questions to God.
Much of Rachael’s music has been shaped by her own journey through perfectionism, anxiety, and depression. Rather than hiding those struggles, she has chosen to write with vulnerability, exploring themes of peace, renewal, identity, and God’s presence in seasons of waiting and healing. Her songs offer gentle reminders that God is not only present in moments of celebration, but also in the slow, often unseen work of restoration.
Beyond writing and recording, Rachael is deeply passionate about encouraging other creatives to embrace the unique stories God has entrusted to them. A longtime advocate for healthy creative community, she believes comparison silences voices while authenticity allows them to flourish. Whether leading worship, mentoring songwriters, or sharing music from the stage, her desire remains the same: to help others encounter Jesus and create from a place of freedom rather than performance.
