About Leo Ahlstrom
Songwriter, producer, touring artist, and pastor, Leonard Ahlstrom has called Nashville “home” for over 33 years.
During those years, Leo has been a staff songwriter at several publishing houses—Benson Music Group, BMG, and Warner Chappell—and most recently, WieRok Entertainment. He has had success in the music industry covering a broad spectrum of genres, and is a Dove and GRAMMY-nominated songwriter and producer. Leo was a member of contemporary recording artist NewSong where he co-wrote and produced some of their biggest radio hits. Among the hundreds of songs Leo has written, 19 garnered #1 on Christian charts. He also co-wrote and produced the run-away Christmas Billboard #1 hit “Christmas Shoes” that inspired the New York Times bestseller book and CBS movie.
Leo has served as Worship Pastor for the last 20 years. He also served as Adjunct Professor in songwriting for Judson University in the Chicago-burbs. Leo served as Worship Development Pastor, and Director of the Worship Institute based in Franklin, Tennessee.
Leo lives in Thompson’s Station, Tennessee, with his wife Rebecca of 44 years and their 100-pound lap dog Caj.
When he is not working, Leo loves to write, travel, and spend time with their grown children, Aaron and Melody, and five grandchildren, Olive, Kingston, Finley, Elias, and Israel.
